How does a house swap work?
A house swap is just like any other property transaction, except
there is only 2 houses involved in the ‘chain’, essentially
the same as a part exchange. A sale would be agreed at a mutually
agreeable price for both properties at around full market value,
solicitors would be instructed and mortgages arranged where required.
We will monitor the sale throughout.
How do I know whether a home exchange
is suitable for me?
As long as you are looking to buy and sell a property in the Durham
area then home exchange could work for you. We have already successfully
agreed several ‘home swap’ sales.
What if my house isn’t currently
for sale?
No problem, you can still actively look for property currently for
sale and you could agree a swap without ever putting your own house
up for sale. However, to double your chances of selling you should

What if I am already on the market with
another estate agent?
As long as you are out of your sole agency period with your current
agent or have their written permission to instruct another agent,
then we would be delighted to market your property.
Where will my property be advertised?
We will advertise your property in the local property newspaper
suitable for your area, such as the Durham ‘Property Advertiser’
and The Northern Echo ‘Homes & Property Advertiser’,
on a regular basis. Your property will also be marketed online at
move2direct.com, yourhomexchange.co.uk, rightmove.co.uk and Fish4Homes.
All properties registered clearly have the yourhomexchange logo
displayed on all press and internet advertising.
How do I register my house with yourhomexchange.co.uk?
